THR announced that Goldsman, who not only wrote the script but also plans to make his directorial debut, will be testing Tom Hiddleston (who you might have seen as Loki in the brand new Avengers trailer) and Benjamin Walker (the lead in Timur Bekmambetov’s Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter) for the part of the male protagonist, an Irish thief who falls in love with a sickly heiress. Hiddleston impresses in everything he’s done, whether working on major superhero movies or one of Woody Allen’s comedies, and Walker got nothing but raves for his work on the stage, so I’m sure the pictures in good hands no matter what direction they take.
