Tom Covers Interview Magazine

005.jpg008.jpg

Perhaps one of Tom’s most adventurous photoshoots (still not quite sure what is happening), he is covering Interview magazine for their October issue.

The interview itself has been conducted by Tom’s good friend, Benedict Cumberbatch. It’s very interesting to read and also quite funny reading the banter between Benedict and Tom; also quite a long interview. Below is a little snippet:

BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH: Like all interviewers, I should first of all thank you, Tom, for taking this time.

TOM HIDDLESTON: [laughs] Thank you, Benedict. We should just thank each other for our time. For the rest of our lives.

CUMBERBATCH: And then, in typical British fashion, we should just apologize for everything as well.

HIDDLESTON: I’m sorry for disturbing you.

CUMBERBATCH: I’m more sorry than you.

HIDDLESTON: [laughs] How do you feel about …

CUMBERBATCH: My role as a journalist?

HIDDLESTON: I feel conflicted. [laughs]

CUMBERBATCH: I feel my role here is much more as a real friend than a journalist. There will be no curveballs, I promise. But just to get us started, what is it like donning the hair and horns, working with Chris [Hemsworth] again, and working Down Under with Taika [Waititi], your director?

HIDDLESTON: Well, it’s so exciting because I haven’t played Loki for four years. The last time I wore the costume was at San Diego Comic-Con in 2013.

CUMBERBATCH: You’re kidding me!

HIDDLESTON: The best thing about it, honestly, is working with Chris again. I first met him in Kenneth Branagh’s house in England in 2009. We were mere children, in the very beginning of our acting journeys. We made an instant connection, and it’s been extraordinary to share the ride with him—this mad journey with Marvel. Anthony Hopkins has been on set this week. And Taika Waititi is magnificent. He has found a way of honoring everything that came before but doing his own thing. And he’s so funny. His films—and if you haven’t, you must seek them out: What We Do in the Shadows, Hunt for the Wilderpeople—they have this combination of light-hearted, good humor and emotion. They’re very moving. Everyone’s really happy. Of course, we’re just at the beginning.

Tom Is The New Face of Gucci!

Awesome surprise to see; Tom has been unveiled as the new face of Gucci! GQ posted a feature on their site, which you can see the article below:

Would-be Bond, soon-to-be Taylor Swift lyric, and Night Manager star Tom Hiddleston has many talents and chief among them, as far as we’re concerned, is his uncanny ability to wear a suit really f#@king well. And to be clear, we’re not grading on Hollywood actor curve here. Hiddleston’s innate ability to look great in sharp tailoring has earned him a place among modern day suiting gods like Lapo Elkann and Ryan Gosling—guys who know how to harness the power of some well-cut lapels.

So it shouldn’t come as a total surprise that Gucci, a.k.a. the world’s hottest label right now, has tapped Hiddleston as the face of their latest tailoring campaign. If anything, it’s just even more evidence that designer Alessandro Michele knows exactly what he’s doing, whether that’s slapping an en fuego cat on a Cruise 2017 T-shirt or calling on one of our favorite actors to flex in the house’s luxury tailoring offerings. And oh how Hiddleston flexes.

Shot by lensman and now-longtime Michele collaborator Glen Luchford in a mansion belonging to famous artist, set designer, and curator of all things stylish Tony Duquette, Hiddleston shows off Gucci’s 2016 spins on power suiting, a lineup that counts foulard prints and hot pink piping as common as some boardroom-level windowpane peak lapels. And, because it’s Gucci and Michele’s world where anything—from serpentine appliques to studded and fringed loafers—goes, Hiddleston is joined (if nearly upstaged) by some seriously well-groomed Afghan hounds. But if you’re looking for the real star of these snaps, look no further than the anything-but-ordinary tailoring on display.

Watch Makeup Artist Lucia Pittalis Turn Into Tom Hiddleston!

Recently Sky Movies has progressed to Sky Cinema and to celebrate, Instagram makeup star Lucia Pittalis undertook the challenge of transforming herself into four Hollywood actors; Harrison Ford, Meryl Streep, Daniel Craig and our very own Tom!

Not only were Daniel and Meryl voted the best movie stars of all time, Tom was voted the hottest actor right now, and with him filming Thor: Ragnarok and the upcoming blockbuster Skull Island, it’s no wonder why!

Check out this video of Lucia creating the look, which took 12 hours to create!

Tom Hiddleston – Movie Makeovers – Sky Cinema from Taylor Herring on Vimeo.

All makeup looks created by Lucia are completely done using different products, no CGI, trickery or prosthetics!

Each movie makeover took Lucia a staggering 12 hours to complete. To get under the skin of each iconic character and understand every facial mannerism she watched and studied their performances in detail. The challenge was to not only capture their recognisable look but also a particular expression to really bring them to life on her own face.

Using extreme contouring as the foundation for each character Lucia applies subtle layers of make-up to build up each character. Having spent years perfecting her creativity and mimicking skills she is able to capture the rugged expressiveness of action hero Harrison Ford, the steely star and legendary pout of Daniel Craig, a gentle smile and natural warmth of Tom Hiddleston’s eyes and the air of confidence that makes Meryl Streep Hollywood’s most decorated actress.

Hiddleston also came out a winner in the nationwide poll – being crowned the hottest actor right now thanks to his racy role in Crimson Peak and current girlfriend Taylor Swift.

To celebrate Sky Cinema, Crimson Peak is one of the movies premiering in July, don’t miss it!
